Concerning the "illness of dear Lily" (Severn's daughter), noting that the Alexanders are "greatly attached to [Severn] and Lily," and that their "prayers are with [Severn], as they have been in other dark times." Asking Severn to "relieve [their] suspense" by sending a line to the Alexanders to tell them how Lily fares, and to give Alexander's regards to Miss Anderson.
